I work with romantic partners in poly, open and monogamous relationships to resolve issues of understanding and communication. Some people worry that couples counseling is a sign that a relationship is in trouble- but the opposite is true. Scheduling one or two couples sessions when you are in transition, hit a rough patch or just want to check in can be a very cool way to invest in the health of your relationship.

We usually think of going to therapy together as something that only romantic couples do, but other types of relationships can be just as important, and have just as big an impact on our well being.

It’s painful when a friendship fades away or changes dramatically and you’re not sure why. Friendships (and other non-romantic relationships) that are going through a rough patch can benefit from a few sessions to help understand more deeply what’s going on, and to work together on solutions for relationship repair and growth.

You can take one or more meetings to help work out issues with current or estranged friends, roommates, siblings, coworkers or in any relationship where an outside eye could be helpful.
